این نمایش دومین کمدی آمریکایی سوتورن برای سیبیاس بود. اولین سری او، منشی خصوصی، پس از اختلاف قرارداد میان سوتورن و تهیهکنندهٔ منشی، جک چرتوک، در سال ۱۹۵۷ به پایان رسید. چندی از بازیگران مجموعهٔ منشی خصوصی در این نمایش حضور داشتند.
